Which Spectra library is right for us?
It depends on the data you hold today, how fast it grows and how quickly you need it back. Stack and Cube suit most departmental and mid-sized archives; T950 and TFinity suit large libraries and multi-petabyte growth. We size it from your numbers.
Can we start small and grow?
Yes. Spectra libraries add slots and drives through licences and modules, so capacity grows without replacing the library.
How is tape different from backup to disk?
Disk backup is online and fast but stays reachable by an attacker. Tape costs less per terabyte, lasts longer and can be kept off-line, which makes it the copy you can always restore from.
Who supports the library in India?
Cinthamani provides installation, first-line support and maintenance in India, working with Spectra Logic.
