Practice 01 · Flagship

Broadcast and media systems, engineered end to end.

From the camera to the archive, Cinthamani designs and integrates the systems that make, manage, store and deliver content for broadcasters, studios and production houses.

01Coverage

Every stage of the content chain.

Twelve capability areas, designed to work together. Most projects touch several of them; we draw the whole chain before we specify a single product.

01

Broadcast systems and newsrooms

Galleries, newsroom computer systems, intercom, routing and monitoring.

02

Live production and studios

Studio and field cameras, multi-camera switching, replay, teleprompting and backpack links.

03

Post-production and editing

Edit and finishing suites, colour, graphics and audio on shared projects.

04

Shared storage, SAN and NAS

High-throughput storage that every editor and server works from at once.

05

Media asset management

Ingest, metadata, proxies, review and approval, and search across every asset.

06

LTO tape and archive

Tape libraries and archive software for long-life, air-gapped copies.

07

Disk and object storage

Nearline and S3-compatible tiers between production storage and tape.

08

Backup, recovery and preservation

Protection policies, verification and restores that are tested, not assumed.

09

Digitisation and restoration

Legacy tape and film converted, indexed, repaired and made reusable.

10

High-speed file transfer

Large media moved between sites, partners and remote teams.

11

Graphics, video I/O and signal

Capture and playback cards, converters, encoders, decoders and real-time graphics.

12

Cable TV and channel playout

Scheduling, playout and branding, including Cinthamani's own Channel Magick.

03Reference workflows

How the systems connect.

Three paths we build most often. Every project starts from the customer's own path, which we draw with the team before anything is ordered.

04Who we build for

Broadcasters, studios and every venue that goes live.

The same engineering serves a national news channel, a post house, a stadium replay room and a place of worship streaming its services.

  • Broadcasters and news channels
  • Post-production and VFX houses
  • Sports, stadiums and live events
  • OTT, IPTV and cable operators
  • Radio, education, government and houses of worship

05How we work

One team from drawing to daily operation.

No hand-offs between a reseller, an installer and a support desk. The engineers who design the system commission it and stay on it.

  1. Consult

Workflow review on site with the people who will run it.

  2. Design

Signal flow, storage sizing and rack drawings.

  3. Integrate

Systems built and tested together before delivery.

  4. Install

Installation, cabling and configuration on site.

  5. Commission

Acceptance tests against the agreed design.

  6. Support

    Training, maintenance contracts and upgrades.

07Questions

Common questions from broadcast teams.

Can you work with the equipment we already have?
Yes. Most projects extend an existing facility. We audit what is installed, keep what still fits the workflow and design around it.
Do you size shared storage for our editors?
Yes. Sizing starts from the number of seats, codecs and resolutions, and the hours of active projects you keep online, and leaves room for growth.
How long should broadcast archives be kept on LTO tape?
Archives are usually kept for decades. LTO media is rated for long-term storage, and libraries let you migrate to newer generations without changing the workflow. We plan two copies, with one kept off-line.
Do you provide support after installation?
Yes. Annual maintenance contracts cover preventive visits, remote support and on-site response, with terms set per system.
